VTG Spanish M76 Rocoso Amoeba Camo Shirt Pants Uniform Foreign Legion Spain 70s
Ot to be confused with the M-67 model in same camo. Shirt and pants suit used exclusively. By the elite units of the La Legión or Tercio de Extranjeros. This camouflage was inspired by the leibermuster used by the Germans during the end of World War II, that an approach was also adopted by other nations after the war (such as Switzerland) and is characterized by amoeba-like maroon and draj green shapes mixed on a beige background and disrupted with horizontal tan "flecks". There is a other early variant of this camo and this one appears to be the second iteration, with some minor changes.
The uniform consists of a heavy twill cotton style fabric and is very well made. These are from a bygone era, with so many features and a high complexity, something that was surely time-consuming to manufacture and won't likely find today in the era of disposable synthetic uniforms and automated manufacturing. Ts time frame is between the late 1970s to early 1990s. The shirt is packed with pockets and features: on the front are the two horizontally chest pouches with flap closed. By button and velcro on the right, and only velcro on the left. Shirt opening and cuffs are button fastened. He collar of the shirt is open "Saturday Night Fever" style typical of all the clothing of this military unit. Have the full color embroidered emblem of the spanish legion logo.
